Novak Biddle Closes Fifth Fund, Promotes Four

BETHESDA, MD --

Novak Biddle Venture Partners announced the closing of its fifth fund in the amount of $227 million.  The company will continue its focus on working with early-stage government lab and university spin-outs.

The firm also announced the promotion of four individuals to partner: Philip Bronner, Andrea Kaufman, Tom Scholl and Joy Binford.

Novak Biddle is among the most active Washington, DC-based venture firms.  It will focus its investments on the education, homeland security and software sectors.
